Instant Cool: Golden Goose Sneakers

Every now and then, along comes a fashion line that changes how we dress with instantaneous ease. Our expert styling staff at Gretta Luxe has just stumbled on one such label: Golden Goose sneakers.

The luxury Italian line is a study in how to do a cool and casual style, effortlessly. Designed in unexpected materials like suede, denim, leather, metallics, and even the occasional striped pony hair detail in back, Golden Goose are a perfect match with everything from jeans and summer skirts to LuluLemon and track pants.

“We love how they bring fashion to your workout clothes, so you look extra chic going to Soul Cycle” says Gretta Luxe stylist Lauren Begley. “And how they elevate your everyday, non-workout looks, too.”

Savvy clients at Gretta Luxe have been coming into to the store and snapping up more than one pair: Some because they simply want more styles to choose from (a gold-studded style for one day; a purple suede pair the next), while others are doubling and buying multiple pairs of the same style so they have one to wear for workouts and one to subtly funk up a work outfit. “They definitely come in with the appetite to own several pairs,” adds Begley.

Gretta Luxe is currently carrying four Golden Goose styles in the store: The Ball Stud in black with gold studding ($480); denim blue high tops ($495); The Mid Star (shown above) in blue and purple ($480); and The Superstar trainers in purple suede with striped pony hair ($460).

“We really love styling them with R13 denim and great, easy silk tops from Veronica Beard or Ulla Johnson,” comments Begley.

The extra bonus? Because each pair of kicks is such a natural ‘buy now, wear now’ item, they’re also a fantastic, almost seasonless investment. Wear them all summer, into fall, and some of winter. And on that note, more will be coming for resort, too. Check back in November and December for a glitter-strewn pair, perfect for adding in-the-know flash those holiday looks, and on into the New Year….
